GANDERBAL, JAN 16 :District Social Welfare office, Ganderbal and Executive Director Hope Disability Centre Monday,16th January donated an electric wheelchair to a person with spinal cord injury.
The wheelchair was donated to the beneficiary under the aegis of the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre, Ganderbal.
The DDRC is a government initiative to facilitate comprehensive services to persons with disabilities in rural areas.
The patient had been rendered completely immobile by the injury.
The donation brought immense relief to the beneficiary as he could be mobile again with out support.
The DDRC is currently being implemented by the Hope Disability Centre in the district Ganderbal.
