Ganderbal 16 Dec 2022:- In order to commemorate the Vijay Divas 1971, Army on Friday organised Kangal Premier League in Ganderbal district.
An official said that in order to commemorate Victory Of 1971 war, Kangan Cricket Premier League was organised by Wussan Battalion at Sub Division Kangan. A total of 6 teams participated in the league. Teams were divided into 2 pools of 3 teams each. Top 2 teams of the pool clashed in the semifinal.
Victorious teams from the semifinal locked their horns in the final of Kangan Premier League. The league was conducted from 14 – 16 Dec 2022.He said that the aim of the competition is to positively engage the youth of Kashmir and to promote sports. The league witnessed positive engagement of the youth in the form of players as well as supporters.
All the teams have undoubtedly shown zeal, enthusiasm and sportsman spirit throughout the competition which indeed show their passion for cricket, he said.
The aim of this league was to identity and nurture fresh and young cricketing talent and to promote sports culture in Sub Division Kangan, he added.
