OBSERVING PHERAN DAY ON A FOREIGN LAND IS AN ICONIC RECOGNITION TO KASHMIRI TRADITIONAL DRESS.

Pheran is a traditional dress of Kashmir and it should be preserved so to represent and relive the Kashmiri Culture and Tradition. The people of kashmir wear pheran on the onset and beginning of Cold and chilly weather, especially during the bitter Chali Kalan. Pheran protects us from the severe coldness. People also use kangri underneath it so to keep themselves warm.

Observing Pheran Day on a foreign land is just like giving iconic recognition to our composite culture.

Providing a unique and beautiful look, it has become a popular item of clothing even in foreign countries too.

In our motherland, Muslims, Kashmiri Pandits, Sikh brothers etc. all wear pheran to show the composite culture of the valley as it is our traditional dress and we should be pride of it.
